6. Self Centering

 The FTS, as it is in neutral state, sags down as shown in the figure because there is no supporting force acting on it. Once the torque is applied, each center of rotation on sides converge due to the force developed on contacts in the gap between grooves and the FTS obtain the force to straighten due to the tendency that contacts on the surface of the FTS reposition themselves to more stable location of the center.  

As a consequence, the FTS repositions its centers of locations straight in line as if a rubber band having pulling force on both sides stretched strait due to two characteristics describe above. The FTS has the force of restitution back to the straight shape as pulling force applied to bend the FTS. This unique and outstanding merit of the FTS assures guarantee for the reliable performance and safe driving at all times.
