12. Abrasion helps stabilize the operation

The FTS acquires more stable operation and slowed down speed of the abrasion as the abrasion proceed.

Despite machines generally start to make vibration and noise which soon will get worse by each minute when there is certain degrees of abrasion proceeded on the contact surface after long run, abrasion on the FTS cause to make much more wider contacts as shown on the figure and eventually slow down the process of abrasion. We can expand the life span of the FTS to semi permanent if marginal design and proper lubrication are well adopted
