2. Application
in lieu of existing Flexible Coupling
Flexible coupling is used for connecting the driver and the running machine with non-linear shaft locations. FTS can be used in lieu of Flexible Coupling and it is possible to transmit the power smoothly.
As shown in the below figures, existing flexible coupling has some demerits with complex shape , big size and the applying limitations.
Simple FTS with two layers’ slit can replace the complex flexible coupling and trans the great power with small size FTS. There is no matter resulting from centrifugal force when high speed ratation.
